The Cape Herb & Spice Company is committed to healthier living. Our products are non-irradiated, have no artificial additives, have no added MSG, and do not contain genetically engineered ingredients. Our Organic products are one step further along the path to a greener life.
We have five organic rubs, which are practical with everyday recipes for meat, fish, chicken, vegetable and curry dishes. They are packaged in tins with clear lids, so that the blend can be seen inside. Each tin is closed with a tamper-seal, which has a perforation to ease opening.
The sea salt used in our organic rubs is from the west coast of South Africa, which is washed by the nutrient-rich waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Because industrial harvesters that dirty the salt are not used, it does not have to be extensively washed to purify it. This ensures the salt is rich in trace elements and minerals.
The Cape Herb & Spice Company’s herbs are sourced from a farm nestling in the foothills of South Africa’s Drakensberg Mountains. We don't crush the herbs. Instead, we leave them in larger pieces, ensuring the best flavour, colour and aroma.
The Cape Herb & Spice Company sources its pepper from an organic supplier who practices groundbreaking bio-diversity policies. The peppercorns are sourced from small-scale farmers who work in “Forest Gardens”. This means that the area in which they farm retains complete diversity in terms of plant life: making it ecologically and economically sustainable.
